PhytriCare ®

PhytriCare ® IM is a blend of different plant extracts known for their high anti-inflammatory potential in animal nutrition. It contains plant extracts with a high flavonoid content. These ingredients cover several different flavonoid subclasses and account for a total flavonoid content of at least 10%. In this trial we are studying the effects of this phytogenic feed additive on reproductive performance of sows and
growth performance of suckling piglets. The results showed that phytogenic supplementation increases number of born alive and weaned pigs, reduces pre-weaning mortality and increases litter weight at weaning. Sows fed with the phytogenic diet also showed a lower serum haptoglobin concentration, indicating an improved systemic inflammatory status.
