Histidine, an emerging amino acid in monogastric nutrition.
Histidine, an essential amino acid in swine and poultry remains under the radar of many nutritionists. Recently, several trials and publications have evaluated histidine in monogastric nutrition unveiling the multiple functionalities and particularities. The presentation will highlight some of these functionalities and look more closely into the requirement of histidine in weaned piglets.
